The stars are aligning for remarkable musicians of South East NSW poised for a career defining moment, as triple J Unearthed opens up a competition for the region to secure a spot on the Wanderer Festival line-up.
Festival headliners include Missy Higgins, whose career was kick started when she won triple J Unearthed aged just 17 and was catapulted into fame, a record deal and an enduring career that sees her recently crowned #1 in triple J Unearthed’s 100 Best Discoveries of all time.
The Wanderer Festival triple j Unearthed competition is open now until 11:59 pm AEST, Sunday 31 August, 2025. The competition is open to musicians from South East NSW and can be entered by uploading up to 3 songs.
Recent additions to the lineup include exciting alt-folk outfit Any Young Mechanic who are also on the brink of stardom as the young Adelaide outfit get set to grace Europe’s mighty festival stages at Reading, Leeds, Rock en Seine and more this month. Cheeky Leash brings the fun with their energetic indie rock, punchy hooks and good vibes.
The Vasco Era will rattle your very soul awake – shaking you alive with their raw wild energy juxtaposed in an instant with tender and beautiful tones.
Adding to the Arts program, Wanderer welcomes back La Petite Grande – a Tardis of ohhs, ahhs and belly laughs. A gorgeous little pop-up theatre, La petite Grande presents classy sideshows designed for multi-generational audiences.
Expect mind blowing acrobatics, side splitting comedy, gravity defying juggling, record- breaking hula hoops and anything else your mind can dream up. Hosts Kiki and Pascal take you on a short, sharp, silly and hilarious ride through 20 minute shows.
A word about tickets – they’re selling twice as fast as the last event. Don’t miss out!
