Two of Australian rock’s leading forces – Sarah McLeod and Dallas Frasca – have spent many formative years of their career developing their craft and entertaining audiences right around the country and abroad.

Well-versed in the effect live music can have on punters of all walks of life, these two artists have decided to join forces for an unforgettable run around Australia — this time however, with a new objective in mind.

The GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR represents both McLeod and Frasca’s ongoing commitment to sustainability; more specifically, sustainable touring.

Teaming up with Green Music Australia to green the tour, Sarah and Dallas have added a small levy to fund measurable sustainable touring actions, with the tour proudly supported by Music Australia, The Harbour Agency, and Spank Betty Records; the tour also supports Seed Mob, Australia’s first Indigenous youth-led climate justice organisation in their ongoing fight for climate justice.

The 15-date tour will see both artists using inset emissions strategies to reduce and offset their impact within the operations around live touring. The tour is an ambitious venture for McLeod and Frasca, but it is an opportunity both are excited to undertake, with McLeod explaining: “We wanted to do something that wasn’t just loud — but meaningful,” says McLeod. “If rock and roll can’t lead the charge for change, what can?”

For both McLeod and Frasca, the launch of GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR also aims to inspire other musicians, and their fans, to reconsider their own approach to experiencing live music and touring – with a shift in mindset and a turn toward more sustainable pathways, the future of this industry is greener, healthier, and more long-lasting.

The duo will document the tour as a way to offer fans an insight into the challenges and fulfilling moments of putting such a tour together; charting the wins, the fails and the creative chaos, in an open and transparent exploration of how artists can reduce the environmental impact of live touring.

Taking this tour around Australia, from Fremantle to Gold Coast, the GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR will deliver on powerful original hits, reimagined rock bangers and new collaborations as McLeod and Frasca come together backed by two thunderous drummers for this one-of-a-kind live music experience.

From recycled merchandise and sustainable travel routes to meat-free catering and eco-certified accommodation, every detail has been designed to minimise impact.

Fans are invited to join the movement by wearing their best sustainable fashion to the gigs, and carpooling, taking public transport, walking, or riding bikes to venues wherever possible — making the audience part of the solution, not just the show.

“We’ve both spent years on the road — it’s the wild west out there when it comes to sustainability. We want to show our fans that there are simple ways to make a big difference, and that every action counts.” DALLAS FRASCA

ARIA winner and South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee Sarah, both as a solo performer and frontwoman of Australian rock legends The Superjesus, has remained a passionate advocate for change and progress within the Australian music space.

A wickedly versatile songwriter and performer, McLeod is also the Chair of Australian Women in Music, bringing her years of industry experience together with her ongoing commitment to changing the structure of the music industry as it stands today.

APRA and AWMA nominated artist Dallas, is a kindred spirit of sorts for Sarah, again another artist who has brought bold and visceral energy to her expansive catalogue of music and live performances across many years.

The release of her latest album, Force Of Nature (2024), propelled Dallas back onto radars in a big way – debuting at #2 on the ARIA Blues Chart during its first week of release, the #1 spot on the AMRAP Charts, and saw her being invited to support ZZ Top on their Aus/NZ arena tour this year.
